Int/Adv Ballet/Jazz TR : Tue 6:30-8:00pm - DJD

Class for the intermediate and advanced dancer looking to challenge themselves. This class will focus on ballet and jazz technique. Jazz technique is developed from ballet with small but noticeable differences such as parallel vs turned out feet. Ballet is typically more fluid where jazz is more upbeat. The similarities and differences are what make learning these styles together a blast.

Note:

Dance classes will take place at Davenport Junior Theatre, located at 1002 West Kimberley Rd. Davenport, IA 52806.
Presentations and Tech Rehearsals will be held at the Nighswander Theatre, located at 2822 Eastern Ave. Davenport, IA 52803.
Dance Classes begins Saturday, September 12th - Thursday, December 10th, 2026.
Classes meet once a week at the scheduled time.
Students sign in at front desk in the main lobby. Parents please come day 1.
No Classes November 23rd-28th
Classes conclude with performance on December 19th or 20th. Specific performance times announced by Week #3 of classes.
All students must be potty-trained before enrolling in programs.
Students should dress comfortably and be ready to move.
Presentations are free for family and friends.
Students are allowed up to two absences per session. Any student who exceeds this limit will have their eligibility to perform reconsidered by their instructor and program coordinator.
